Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID is pleased to launch its new Voluntary BID Membership Scheme in 2025, offering a unique opportunity for Sutton Coldfield-based businesses to support the BID’s positive work in the town centre.
This scheme is perfect for businesses within the BID boundary that are not eligible to pay the BID levy due their business premises rateable value being below the £7,500 RV threshold but who still want to play an active role in enhancing Sutton Coldfield’s prosperity and supporting the good work of the BID.
Applications will also be considered for businesses outside of the BID boundary but still within Sutton Coldfield.

Who Can Join?
This scheme is open to Sutton Coldfield-based businesses that want to:
- Actively support Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID’s investment in the town
- Benefit from the BID’s wide range of services and promotional activities
Important Information
- Voluntary members are not eligible to join the BID Board or participate in the BID ballot.
- All applications are subject to review and approval by the BID Board.
- In cases where your business type overlaps with that of existing BID members, your application may be declined to ensure fair promotion and support of current BID members.
Membership Cost
Membership is based on 1% of your business premises’ rateable value (with a minimum fee of £100 + VAT).

If your business operates from home or a business premises without a rateable value, the annual membership fee will be calculated at £100.00 plus VAT.
